Jimmy Cox

If there is one band from the beautiful city of Helsinki, which often defies the labels slapped on bands, then it should be HIM. Music industry critics have labeled the band music from the sub-genres of rock such as gothic rock, alternative rock and hard rock and metal as well as gothic metal, alternative metal and doom metal. There were too many names, but one thing is true, only members of the band and their fans can decide what to label their music.
Genre and symbols

It just so happens that the designation commonly used to refer to HIM’s musical style is a love of metal. It is often characterized as a fusion of heavy metal, gothic melodies, rock, pop and glam, which is generally attributed as creating a group singer, Ville Valo.
In accordance with its name, called a heartagram band and music genre. Because of its wide popularity, Valo once said that the band is now better known by its symbol of his music.
Band History

group began as his Infernal Majesty. It was only during the Wicked Game single in 1998 that the band officially changed their name to HIM. As such, the Finnish love metal band is not to be confused with other bands such as the Canadian thrash metal band Infernal Majesty, the American post-rock band he and Contemporary Christian group 4Him.
By the way, the band bought the rights to the name of it and has since used it in their world tours and albums. Before that, they used her name for Razorblade Romance, which was their sophomore album, as well as him and her during the tours in Europe.
Just like every other rock band, the group has had its share of musical chairs among its members. Currently, the band consists of Ville Valo the lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Mikko Lindstrom water and acoustic guitar, Mikko Paananen on bass and backing vocals, Mika Karppinen on drums and percussion, and Janne Puurtinen on keyboard and backing vocals. Former members included Juippi, Juha Tarvonen and Juhana Tuomas Rantala on drums and percussion, Antti Melasniemi, Sergei Ovalov and Jussi-Mikko Salminen on keyboards and guitar Oki

studio albums released

<. p> To date, the band released 7 albums HIM studio, 1 live album, a compilation of 6 albums, 1 EP, 22 singles, four albums and 23 videos. Indeed, this is a band that does not shy away from creativity, technology and new markets in his two decades in the music industry.
* Greatest Love Songs Vol. 666 (1997) – Contrary to its title, this is not meant to be satanic * Razorblade Romance (1999) – This is the distinction of being the all time best seller album in Finnish music history * deep shadows and Brilliant Highlights (2001) – This is a band member debut effort, although this is the third label * HIM Love Metal (2003) – widely regarded as the band most definitive work, it features heartagram logo for the first time * Dark Light (2005) – This was inspired by ancient mythology and modern religions * Venus Doom ( 2007) – This is the hardest metal band’s sound at present * Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice (2010) – Valo describes the album as a purgative, Primal Scream

We can expect much more from the band who introduced the love of metal. And that’s what I love about him.
